Tip and Trick answer: Customizing the Display Rotation
You can set the display to rotate only to the view or views you want. Here's how:
Open Tablet and Pen Settings-- Properties
- Tap the Tablet and Pen Settings icon
at the bottom of the Tablet PC display.
- From the pop-up menu, select Properties.
| This opens the Tablet and Pen Settings window... |
 |
Access the Display settings
- Once the Tablet and Pen Settings window is open, tap the Display tab
- Under Sequence, tap Change.
Change the display settings
- The Orientation Sequence Settings window appears showing the four screen orientations, numbered 1-4. (The default order of the Tablet orientations, that is, the Tablet PC first opens in Primary Landscape, then in Primary Portrait, etc.)
- Tap with your pen on the down arrow beside an orientation. This opens a drop-down menu.
Set the desired views
- Tap (None) to have the Tablet PC skip a selected view.
NOTE: You can disable only three orientations. One orientation has to remain active
- The other options in the drop-down list let you change the viewing order when you press the rotate button. For example, if you want Secondary landscape to appear first, open orientation 1 and select Secondary landscape; for Primary portrait to appear second, open "2" and select Primary portrait.
- After you make all your changes, tap OK.
Apply the changes
- On the next screen, tap Apply
Test your new settings
- Now, when you press the rotate button on your Tablet PC, it will skip the disabled views and display the orientations in the order you've set.
